Interested in being a volunteer for the Whitehorse 2007 Canada Winter Games?

Whitehorse has an admirable record of volunteerism, and the need for volunteers for the Whitehorse 2007 Canada Winter Games will be tremendous. Thousands of volunteers will be required to host this landmark event, and we know that the enthusiasm, pride, and hard work that northerners are famous for, will ensure that the 2007 Games are a spectacular event.

Here's how YOU can help:

1. Be a PLANNING Volunteer: Between now and the Games, you can help us coordinate the many different components of this multi-sport event. An event of this magnitude involves dozens of committees across 13 Divisions.

If you are interested in being involved in the planning process over the next two years, please develop a resume outlining your volunteer interests and history, and send to the attention of Volunteer Services:

  • email: volunteer@2007canadagames.ca,
  • fax 867-393-2008
  • drop off at the 2007 Canada Winter Games office at 1105 1st Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or
  • mail to:
    Volunteer Services
    2007 Canada Winter Games Headquarters
    1105 1st Avenue
    Whitehorse, Yukon

2. Be a GAMES-TIME Volunteer: The majority of volunteers will be required during the Games, February 24 - March 10, 2007. But - we ask for your patience - we expect to launch the Volunteer Recruitment Campaign for the Games-Time positions early in 2006. At that time, an application will be available on this website. Don' t worry, when the time comes, our Volunteer Recruitment Launch will be well advertised!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Whitehorse 2007 Canada Winter Games!

"Being a planning volunteer for the 2007 Canada Winter Games has given me an opportunity to share my skills and experience, to work with a team where ideas are heard and appreciated, to do something meaningful, and to share the excitement of preparing for the largest sporting event north of 60!"
