The 2007 Canada Winter Games presents one more reason to volunteer for the Games: fantastic volunteer uniforms.
Everyone has a reason for volunteering – some volunteer to support their community and others feel that being a part of the Canada Games is a once in a lifetime experience. But now, with the unveiling of the volunteer uniforms, there’s one more very attractive reason to step up and volunteer for the 2007 Canada Winter Games.
Every registered Games-time volunteer will receive the volunteer uniform, consisting of two pieces, a jacket and a vest.
The uniform helps identify on-duty volunteers during the Games; so volunteers are asked to only wear the uniform when working or traveling to and from volunteer jobs. After the Games, the uniforms are a practical and stylish memento for volunteers to keep.
The jacket is a Columbia Thunderscout jacket, made of waterproof and breathable nylon, with a hood and visor. The fleece vest provides core insulation under the jacket or on its own.
The uniform will be distributed to all registered Games-time volunteers in January, during general volunteer accreditation.
