Semi-Final Hockey Wrap-Up
2007, March 2nd:

At 12 seconds of overtime, Ontario forward Cody Hodgson harmlessly fired the puck towards the BC net where it rebounded back to the left post where Anthony Nigro slapped at it and at 14 seconds the puck slithered under goaltender Edward Pasquale’s pad and Ontario advanced to the final.

The game was a hard-skating, crisp-passing, end-to-end match-up. Ontario clearly had the momentum for the first half of the game when goals by Nathan Moon and Stephen Stamkos forced BC to play catch-up. They did, with two goals by Kyle Beach, the second just seconds before the end of the second period.

In the third, Ontario’s advantage from Cody Hodson’s goal at 10:36 was nullified a minute later when Tyler Shattock tied the game and the two fought each other to a draw and overtime.

In the second game Team Manitoba, who 24 hours before upset Quebec, outshot Alberta 43 - 31 and out-scored them 5 – 1 to advance to Friday’s final against Ontario.

Ontario-British Columbia  4-3; Manitoba-Alberta 5-1
