In the tradition of the Inuit Games, athletes and coaches alike supported all athletes, shared tips, offered advise, and celebrated performances. According to Samantha John, Inuit Games Sport Chair, " traditional sport is not about winning a medal - as nice as it is to be on the podium - it is all about making sure that all athletes feel confident in their performance."

It was almost a clean sweep for Team Nunavut in the two-foot high kick. Blair Tautu had the highest kick among the females at 1.54 meters; her team mates Malaiyah Enuapik and Rebecca Sammurtok were close behind with kicks of 1.52 and 1.42 meters.

Top three placings for the males were Joshua Bruce (NU) at 2.34 meters, James Tautu (NU), at 2.29 meters, and Cedric Shilder (YT) at 2.29 meters.
