Jennifer Hartley from Team Alberta, named to team in January this year, scored the first and last goals contributing to a 4-2 win over Saskatchewan. Despite a 9-3 loss to Manitoba, New Brunswick goalie Vanessa Girouard defended 60 shots on goal.
Ontario and Quebec played a competitive game with Ontario taking it 5-3. Ontario coach Sharolyn Wouters, a former Games athlete (1995) herself, said, "We have no superstar. We know that everyone on this team brings something different to the game." It's a philosophy that is working for Team Ontario as they currently sit at 4-0.
With a score of 2-2 for most of the game, the last stretch of today's final game saw British Columbia pull ahead to take Nova Scotia 5-3.
The games are becoming more evenly matched as the medal round approaches.
