Ottawa In April 2006, the Roly McLenahan Canada Games Torch was lit at an official ceremony on Parliament Hill Ottawa in partnership with the Canada Games Council. |

Alert The flame then traveled to Alert, in Canada’s far north, where it lit three unique torches representing Canada’s three territories. These torches were carried off by three elite athletes from the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut towards their own territory. |
